Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze did his best to inspire his Huskies teammates ahead of Monday’s CPF National Championship game against Michigan.
During a pregame huddle, Odunze addressed a circle of teammates and delivered an emotional speech.
‘Everything you do, put it on the line for your brothers,’ Odunze said. ‘Appreciate your boys man. At the end of the day, do it for them so you can raise them that trophy.’
‘Be a champion today, be a champion Postgazette News Today boys. Love ya’ll boys, man.’
After the emotional battle cry from Odunze, the Huskies put their hands up together and yelled ‘win’ in unison before they marched into the field.

The Huskies have rallied behind Michael Penix Jr. to a 14-0 record and a Sugar Bowl win
The Huskies enter the championship game with a perfect 14-0 record after upsetting Texas in the Sugar Bowl on New Year’s Day. Before the playoffs, Washington emerged as the Pac 12 champions.
While Odunze has led Washington in receiving yards with 1,553, their driving force has been quarterback and Heisman trophy runner-up Michael Penix Jr.
The super senior completed 336 of 504 passes this past season for 4,648 yards and 35 touchdowns.
On the other hand, the Wolverines also come into the title game with a flawless record after winning the Big 10 and defeating Alabama in the Rose Bowl.
Michigan infamously starred in a sign-stealing scandal late last year which led to the indefinite suspension of staff member Connor Stalions. Head coach Jim Harbaugh was also taken out of the sidelines for their last three games of the regular season.
Despite their identical records, oddsmakers have the Wolverines triumphant over the Huskies on Monday night.
